Malware and Viruses

Can you believe there are people out there that love to "mess with your computer"? For a week now i have been going crazy with viruses and malware...good thing i picked up some information on what to do when my computer crashed last year...also, digishop forum has been great...need to have a good antivirus, antispyware, antimalware software on you computer!! I finally stopped it and I am one of the lucky ones....some horror stories out there regarding this...Facebook is a major sourse at this time for viruses and also 4-shared (how i download my freebies) with their $%^& popup adds...(don't forget to block these thru your server)....To think i was just beginning to understand this FaceBook thing...not going on this for awhile....and my freebie shopping is big time limited (don't really need anymore digi stuff but i love to blog hop)...So Be Carefulllllllll!!!!!

Cream Puffs

Here is another "old" recipe...i remember when you had to make everything from mixes...and this was a favorite of mine as a mother would make these and fill with homemade pudding or icecream topped with hot wonder i have a weight
I too would make these for the kids...eclairs (remember those)..or make them small and when cool use savory fillings for appetizers...i remember chicken curry with almonds(where is that recipe..mmmm) here ya go:

Cream Puffs
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup of flour
4 eggs
Heat oven to 400 degrees....Heat water and butter to rolling boil. Stir in flour over low heat one minute or until mixture forms a ball. Remove...than beat...beat in eggs all at one time; continue beating until smooth..(by hand) Drop dough by scant 1/4 cup about 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet
Bake 35-40 minutes until puffed and golden
cool....than fill.......

wow....this brings me back......

Cookie Sheet Cake

I was looking for a recipe in the various books, boxes that I have and I came across a couple of recipes that must be at least 40 years old..written on orange scrap paper...i remember coping them down (scary) and they are pretty beat-up so I thought I would share them with you and this will also "save" them for me...the first one is this cookie sheet cake which I remember to be, this was before there were cake mixes! It is easy and great for a crowd!

Cookie Sheet Cake
grease a cookie sheet (has the raised rim around it)
preheat oven to 400 degrees
note: sour milk=one cup of milk to 1 tsp vinegar

Bring to a boil: 1 stick of butter
1/2 cup oil
4 Tablespoons cocoa
1 cup of water

Mix: 2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
add the boiled ingredients and mix

Add: 1/2 cup sour milk
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Pour into the greased cookie sheet and Bake 400 degrees for 20 minutes

Bring to a rapid boil: 1 stick butter
4 Tablespoons of cocoa
1/2 cup sour milk
Remove from heat and add: 1 box of confectionery sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Once cake and frosting has cooled pour and spread the frosting onto cake.
