At the Lake.....

To spend the days in this chair reading and taking in the view of the lake and mountains is truly the most peaceful place in my world!!

I don't ask for much...give me this place, a pot of coffee, the Boston Globe-New York Times-and a Vermont newspaper....a novel and of course my cell phone (just in case i want to talk to somebody)........

I am Back.....

What a wonderful two weeks in South Hero, VT!!!! I love it there...an island in Lake Champlain...so peaceful...this was our 9th season up there..i can't believe it!! All set for next year, too. Getting back to reality was interesting...my dogs came down with "doggie colds" and are on antibiotics but are doing fine and they remembered us (was concerned for never left them for two weeks); just finished 5 loads of laundry; still need to go grocery shopping although DH did get a few things for the pantry....I catch myself daydreaming of the views, fresh air, and slower pace of those islands (not that i am at High Pace in retirement but it is different)..Here are two pictures...one of the sunset on the west side of the island and the moon rise on the east side:

Butterflies

Today it is raining (again)and cold...i am not complaining...i love it cold!! We will be going to Vermont in a few days and really looking forward to change in scenery. Just sitting back and enjoying the lake and cool breezes....I did this LO using instructions from Jessica Sprague. My photography class is ending this week...can you believe 6 weeks already...I am taking all camera equipment and class notes to Vermont and will start from the beginning again ... no interruptions and what great pics i hope to get...i haven't placed as much time into this as i needed to but Life gets in the way and that is ok for these notes and class videos are up forever , which is a good thing!!
