Butterflies

Today it is raining (again)and cold...i am not complaining...i love it cold!! We will be going to Vermont in a few days and really looking forward to change in scenery. Just sitting back and enjoying the lake and cool breezes....I did this LO using instructions from Jessica Sprague. My photography class is ending this week...can you believe 6 weeks already...I am taking all camera equipment and class notes to Vermont and will start from the beginning again ... no interruptions and what great pics i hope to get...i haven't placed as much time into this as i needed to but Life gets in the way and that is ok for these notes and class videos are up forever , which is a good thing!!

Magic

Well, i finally have an appointment with an arthritis specialist...this morning in about an hour...i have been putting this off for years....but it is interfering with my quality of life...so to pass the time until i go i did this layout...playing with blending modes....fun!

A Great Day

Yesterday was so much fun!! Josie , Papa, and me (mimi) spent the day together. We went out to breakfast and than to the Butterfly House. Than to play with the dogs!! She is such a joy!!! Did i take my good camera ... NO...i am still uncertain with all those settings so took the digital point and shoot and the battery died...that will teach me...should have taken the Nikon and shoot in auto...oh,well...got a few shots....here she is "posing" for me at breakfast...

Marinated Leg of Lamb

This is sooooooooooo good i can't even explain it!!!....and SIMPLE!!

1 leg of lamb, 4 to 5 pounds, boned and butterflied
1 large bottle of Italian salad dressing (you can make your own but WHY bother)

Buy your lamb already boned
Butterfly and remove all visible fat
Place lamb in large, zip lock plastic bag
add salad dressing and marinate all day or overnight in frig

Grill over charcoal or in gas grill until medium rare (i use meat thermometer - 180 degrees)

let meat rest and than slice ..... Enjoy!

I use the same method above for shishkabob....cut the lamb into chunks and marinate overnight;
skewer meat with chunks of peppers, onions, tomatoes and grill...

Vacation

Less than 3 weeks away....and off to Vermont!!! Did a challenge at Jessica's this week and here it is..!

Hot Days

i know...i am always commenting on the weather....BUT IT IS OPPRESSIVE!! the air quality is POOR...so again...i am in air conditioning and will not move from it....not even to do my homework assignment for the photography class...but i did this lo of my sweetie (pic is before that hair cut)......
