well....you can tell i am old....we were going to go out for an early dinner but decided to stay in....we were in bed by 10 pm new year's eve and sleeping until someone in the neighborhood started with the fireworks...(thought those were illegal)...New Year's Day i made these sourdough pretzels while mike watched the Patriots win....!
wow.....just blew through November and December with no entries....life has been busy...my mom passed away on November 14...she was recovering from surgery and her heart just let go...very strange to say that i am an orphan at 61 years old but that is how i am feeling...my dad has been gone for 35 years and i still think of him often...i have been spending alot of time on collecting family information (ancestry.com) and my mom was filling in the blanks...i say to all of you that are reading this...start to ask the questions about your family from those seniors that are still with you!!!! it is important to pass this on to the next generations!
Due to the big storm on Halloween our town let the creepy go out for candy last night...and look what came to see us....they are so creepy i could just squeeze them.....
I have been busy with "life"....need to get back on track with this blogger thing...i like looking back and reviewing my entries....here are the kids from today at the Topsfield Fair (MA):
JoJo turned 6 yesterday....WOW...we took her to the Rain Forest Cafe for dinner and she was so surprised when they came out with this cake...she looked at her mom and said "is this for me?"...what a wonderful time we had...she said "this is the best day ever!"... Grandchildren can certainly melt your heart!!
Not the best picture but given that it was raining big time and i was in such a hurry to get a shot before this bird took flight (yes, turkeys do fly)i think it is pretty good....what a surprise...we were eating supper when Mike yells "look at that"...thought he was referring to maybe a bunny or the male cardinals that like to frequent the bird feeders...boy was i excited...grabbed the camera and ran out onto the deck...he jumped the bushes into the neighbor's yard...hope he comes back with his family...
A Great Passover Seder.....the kids were wonderful....the company great! (Rebecca, Shawn, Mike, Me, the kids, Aunt Barb and Great Grandma Ruth)..... the food was Amazing...Thanks Rebecca!!
